Wireless Router for everyone in the house!

Re-hello everybody!
Here we are talking about something that fascinates me so to speak: the router.
These "gadgets", in my view, have always been the jungles of codes, IP addresses, DNS and stuff.
Personally I thought that installing and configuring a router for those who had something "it means" a technical or perhaps with an outline of what to do (including the steps of proprietary software) are able to better configure the everything.
I almost got there "must", since a D-Link router I was given at birth. First of all I realized that the initial choice should be accurate, it is easy to fall back on products based on older standard "b" and "g" and especially the wrong source of internet ............ them because if you buy a router you also have to be careful about what they should be connected in input! This thing seems fairly simple as that, you say, the input must connect the Internet. Yeah, internet ......... but DSL or cable?

is a point where you can clearly see that is often used to say "I have the ADSL" in order to explain the speed of your connection. For the router is different.
But let's start from the beginning, there are two types of ways to connect to the internet, via twisted pair (RJ-11) and it is now an analog signal, or via Ethernet cable (RJ-45), usually through a little box with an ISP (Tiscali, Alice, Fastweb, etc.).

Then there are the so-called "modem router" with the incoming twisted pair (RJ-11) and the basic concept is simple. On your router you get the telephone cable, and analog signal, your router will have an internal modem and then turn that source into a sequence of 0 and 1 (digital) and in so doing, via ethernet network cable (RJ-45) , connect to the PC.

already based here who gave me the gift is anything but run into an easily avoidable mistake: I have got a modem router which then requires me to input the twisted pair, which I have not as a source of internet.
I am a happy owner of a contract that includes Fastweb fiber. Then the fiber I get up in the house where there is a little box (called HUG), which transforms the signal sent to RJ-45 (the famous ethernet cable, eternal population in our network cards =).

So I had an entry for the RJ-45 cable and router wanted at all costs an RJ-11 cable then .................. I went back into the store to replace my product with one more suited to my requests.

doing so I replaced the D-link with a E1000 Cisco, Router truly exceptional, I must say.

Once I arrived home I unpacked it all, it is impractical to me are totally entrusted to the leadership (although I usually do it my way not to install additional software and mess up your registry, but since it is impractical proved to be a necessity as well as perhaps not otherwise feasible), discovering that the installation of a device so sophisticated has been the boom in technological simplicity. - About this, normally I am against all that is simple because it takes us away from things as they are in origin. He never hurt anyone that everything is easy to install, but it is also true that if then something is not working, we are now in canvas slings. - However, following the instructions, I put the CD in and I followed the instructions, however, simple-type "attacks the power to the electrical outlet, when you see that LED on then" attach the cable to the router Internet input "etc. .
This fact we find ourselves now with a lot of things already done ............ My other concern was: I connected to internet router without setting a password, so my wireless signal is now free! I must hurry to configure!
To my amazement, I was wrong (and so xD). Basically it generates a password type of 12 characters including uppercase, lowercase and numbers Einstain would dream that even if the hihi. However I have changed since then so I felt safer (and also because every device connected then needs WPA (practically our encrypted password). Speaking of security: WPA/WPA2 always preferred to WEP because this' latter is easily bypassing them (an encoding that is decoded in a half hour does not seem reliable).

However few steps and I found myself explaining the laptop immediately connected to the router with wireless. Here I thought you were some kind of configuration do, but instead stuck to the computer has run straight to the router.'s own proprietary software used to connect via the first wireless computer to configure it.
The PC, as it were, initiated the use of the router, you can add other devices at will, and to omit the use of passwords to others. In other words you will feel very 'administrators' and managers of all really great =).

Then I connected the PSP to the router .............. anything but simple! While the router is set up that even a Picio can connect the PSP is one of the most complex because they can not find anything by itself, you need to enter everything.
And all of course I mean the IP address, DNS addresses two fixed, the address of router (usually 192.168.1.1) and other things that frankly neither do I. I understand xD.

However, do not remember exactly how, but thanks to a guide found online via Google, I managed to set up your PSP to surf the internet and make 4 cavolatine right to use this functionality. Of course we must remember that the PSP uses the 802.11b standard, with very little range and quite outdated.

Okay having said that I hope to have introduced more or less what may be the feeling of buying a router and not yet knowing how to put the nose and how to do it in the least traumatic way possible.
Also a tip for you: remember that the wireless is composed of high frequencies that can damage if kept continuously alight the brain. I personally believe it or not, but I should not wonder if they went to the health of our marketing business and the ease of use, no?
I adopted this system: I'm using the wireless? Well then I turned on the machine that gives me this feature very noble. I turn off the computer to go to eat, to go to bed or go out? I turn off the router!
The easiest thing is to acquire a power strip (called strip =) in order to have more electrical outlets controlled by a switch. Here you make good use of this switch. Use = ON, OFF = Do not use simple and clear. Then if We attacked them the power of the router then you're in: off the power strip off the router and zero radiation to the brain or the risk that neighboring sample password until you find yours: D.

I hope this article will be useful, and the exploitation to wish you a good 2011 full of joy and happiness, a greeting, Whity:)
